Memory with receipts.

What an assistant remembers about your work sits in Caute beside the page or passage it learned it from, where you can read it, change it and take it back.

Beside where it came from

A memory an assistant writes is a note in your library, named with the assistant that wrote it and, when it says where it learned it, linked to that card. Any assistant you connect can read it, so what one learned the next one knows.

Yours to read, edit and forget

Memory shows every memory, by assistant. Edit one, forget one, or forget everything one assistant remembered. Forgetting removes it from Caute; what an assistant keeps on its own side stays until you clear it there, and Caute says where.

A correction made once

Tell any assistant that something changed, and the memory it corrects is replaced for all of them: the old one stays in Caute, struck through, with who replaced it and when, and one tap puts it back. When two assistants remember the same thing differently, Caute shows both side by side and lets you choose. It never picks for you.

Lessons you approved

Say once how you want a kind of work done, for vendor comparisons or for everything, and every assistant is given it at the start of a task it applies to. An assistant can write one from your words, and it waits until you keep it. Nothing is read from what you accept or edit.

See what each assistant read

Each card shows which assistant read it and when, and Settings shows what each connected assistant has done.

Facts wait for you

A fact an assistant proposes about a card, a date or an amount, waits on the card for you to keep or dismiss. Until you keep it, it changes no filter and no export.

Measured

How well Caute finds what a long history holds is published as retrieval recall at N tokens on a public benchmark, with the command to rerun it: the numbers.
