Help

Caute keeps what you catch, from web pages, files, email, notes and your conversations with AI assistants, and finds it again by its words or by what it means. Nothing needs a title, a tag or a folder when you catch it. Every thing you catch becomes a card, and you can write on it, link it to other cards, and ask questions of everything you've kept.

These pages explain how each part works, in the order most people meet them.

Start here

  • Getting started: sign in, catch your first thing and find your way around.
  • Catching things: every way in, from the box at the top of the timeline to email and importers.
  • Finding things: the timeline, the Ask tab, tags and saved searches.

Working with what you caught

  • Cards: what a card holds, highlights, links and the graph.
  • Notes: writing, mentioning cards, versions and working offline.

Your assistants

  • Connecting an assistant: give Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant your library, under your rules.
  • Memory: what your assistants remember about you, and how to correct or forget it.

The apps

  • The browser extension: for Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
  • iPhone and Mac: sharing, scanning, recording, and asking on the phone itself.

Your account

  • Privacy and your data: who can see what, keeping a space away from AI, exporting and deleting.
  • Plans and credits: what each plan includes and what happens at a limit.
